Changes

This weekend I had the oppurtunity to go to a leadership conference in Missouri and I must say my life changed dramatically and it inspired me to start this blog. I went into the conference knowing what I needed and knowing what I wanted. It didn't take but just a few minutes for me to open up and the changes began to happen. I had a connection with God like I have never had and I was blessed. A few years ago I believed that to have a connection with God meant you had to be crying your eyes out and you had to be laid out on the floor but this weekend it was completely different. I am not sure that I cried more than once but the connection I made was so amazing and exciting, and I was so pleased and refreshed when it was all over. God moved through me and I was so happy and peaceful, the kind of peace that you can't find anywhere else in life.
I also went to a few workshops while at the conference and they opened my eyes to a number of new things. I learned about my worship and why I do it and how I lead others in it. I also learned how to defend my faith and how to challenge myself and others to dig deeper than just the obvious and find the reasons why we believe what we believe about the bible. I also learned how to manage my time to better serve God and be more efficient in the things I do.
I wouldn't trade this weekend for anything. I am so refreshed and I hope that I can hang onto the feeling I have right now. I look forward to the learning and growing that is going to happen in the next few months and I believe that God is going to bless my life and yours, along with my wonderful church, pastor, and youth pastor. I believe that we are going to change this world! Thanks for stopping in.

God Bless
Michael
